BURNHAM PRIZE 2006 PHASE 01 RESULTS!!

The Chicago Architectural Club is pleased to announce: 2006 Burnham Prize Design Competition Phase 1 Entries - Opening Night! Jury members will discuss the entries and announce the finalists.

Also, the resulting exhibition will be on view from March 3 - March 25 at Homan Square Community Center, 9 AM-8 PM weekdays, 9 AM-5 PM Saturdays.

This exhibition represents Phase 1 of of the 2006 Burnham Prize Competition: Learning from North Lawndale: Defining the Urban Neighborhood in the 21st Century.

During Phase 2, each of the finalists will be teamed with local residents and community groups to develop their ideas into proposals that will be included in the 2006 exhibition of the Chicago Architecture Foundation: Learning from North Lawndale. The goal of the competition is to seek innovative solutions to issues sparked by gentrification and development in low-income urban neighborhoods.

Admission is free for all.

The 2006 Burnham Prize has been made possible through the generous support of the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts and the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation.
